Biography

I knew from a young age that I wanted to be an artist.

At the Minneapolis School of Art, I started out focused on painting, but in my second year, photography captured my interest. I decided to leave school for an opportunity to begin working towards a career as a photographer.

I eventually opened M. Jensen Photography, Inc., my own studio in NE Minneapolis, and built a career in Advertising Photography.

After retiring from photography, I began painting again. I have two studios where I split my time –– one at the Cowles Center in downtown Minneapolis, the other is on property in northern Minnesota.
